Naylea Hernández is a Dominican-American painter and papier-mâché artist born and based in Providence, Rhode Island. Passionate about visual storytelling, narrative pieces, and teaching - her work focuses on the ways we honor love, life, death, and, our community. 

She graduated from RISD in 2024 with a BFA in Painting and a concentration in HPSS (History, Philosophy, and the Social Sciences) as a first generation college student. 

She is currently working at the Providence Art Club as a Gallery Assistant while continuing her own painting practice.

Naylea Hernández es una pintora y artista de papier-mâché dominicana-estadounidense, nacida y radicada en Providence, Rhode Island. Apasionada por la narración visual, las piezas narrativas y la enseñanza - su trabajo se centra en las maneras en que honramos el amor, la vida, la muerte, y nuestra comunidad.

Se graduó de RISD en 2024 con una licenciatura BFA en Pintura y una concentración en HPSS (Historia, Filosofía y Ciencias Sociales) como estudiante universitaria de primera generación. Ahora, trabajo en el Providence Art Club como asistente de galería mientras continua su propia practica de pintura.
